India’s pasta export segment is witnessing steady growth, driven by rising global demand for affordable, high-quality and alternative-grain food products. Trade data from global shipment intelligence platform Volza indicates a strong upward trend in India’s pasta exports, with Indian brands such as BOBINO, widely regarded as one of the best pasta brands in India, gaining visibility in international markets.
India’s Pasta Export Performance
According to Volza’s export shipment data, India exported 2,889 pasta consignments between June 2024 and May 2025, registering a 23% growth compared to the previous year. The growth momentum remained strong in May 2025, when exports rose 39% year-on-year, underlining consistent overseas demand for Indian pasta products.
This expansion reflects India’s increasing role as a supplier of value-added food products, especially in the processed food category.
Key Export Markets
Indian pasta exports currently reach 87 countries, with neighbouring and high-consumption regions leading demand. The top destinations include:
- Bhutan, which accounts for the largest share of Indian pasta shipments
- United Arab Emirates, a key Middle Eastern market
- United States, where demand for specialty and ethnic food products is rising
Indian exporters are also benefiting from growing interest in health-focused pasta varieties, including millet-based, multigrain and specialty formats.
